This joint series of events is organised by the Europäische Bewegung Deutschland e.V. (EBD) and Table.Media in the run-up to the 2024 European elections to enter into dialogue with the Spitzenkandidaten of various parties together with experts.
In the sixth edition of ‘Europa vor der Schicksalswahl – die Spitzenkandidaten im Gespräch’, we exchange views with Daniel Caspary MEP, Chairman of the CDU/CSU Group in the European Parliament. He discusses the question of how the EU can become more competitive with Nils Redeker, Deputy Director of the Jacques Delors Centre.
- How can the European single market be strengthened in sectors such as energy, telecommunications and capital?
- Where can superfluous bureaucratic requirements be eliminated and the burden on companies reduced?
- What industrial policy is needed for the green and digital transformation – and how should this be financed?
- How robust should Europe be in trade policy?
